Minorities are tortured in Bangladesh : HSC
Dibakar Kundu :
By Dibakar Kundu, New Delhi , Amader Bharat.com, 9th June: With the help of mountainous indigenous people, the whole minority of Bangladesh is facing the time of torture. Arun Upadhyay International president HSC spoke as the chief guest at the press conference. Mr. Shipon Kumar Basu, President of the Hindu Struggle Committee of Bangladesh was the special guest. Mithu Chowdhury, founder president of Hindu Buddhist Christian Adivasi Party, was the convenor at the press conference.
Arun Upadhyay International president Hindu Struggle Committee said that the present Awami League government is unelected government. Minorities of Bangladesh vote for this Awami League, but they never get protection from the government.
Every day, the minority of Bangladesh is being tortured, women are being raped, land is being grabbed, but there is no provision for a single instance.
Minorities are more persecuted during this Awami League government. Recently, two hundred and fifty houses of indigenous people were burnt in Chittagong’s Rangamati. Earlier Awami League government members burnt the house of indigenous people in Gobindaganj sub- dristrict of Dinajpur in Nasirnagar, Brahmanberia. But this government of Sheikh Hasina did not even judge one. She is just like deaf and blind.
That is why international diplomacy and human rights organizations decide that this government has no validity to stay in power. By 2017, the national election will be held in Bangladesh. The next government will be the minority party’s government. And minorities will lead the country.
Shipon Kumar Basu said that the Awami League, not the BNP, the next government would be our government. The minorities of Bangladesh must be brave.
Mithun Chowdhury said the picture of the country’s overall torture is showing the actual situation in Bangladesh and strongly demanded unconditional release of Rakesh Rai.
