Amader Bharat Desk, November 30, New Delhi: On 17th October, 2017 morning, Shri Ravinder Gosain, who was the Mukhya Shikshak of Mohan Shakha of the RSS, was shot by two unknown assailants on a motorbike outside his residence in Ludhiana’s Gagandeep Colony. The Punjab Police registered a case and investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation, two accused persons namely Ramandeep Singh s/o Gurdev Singh r/o Chuhadwal, Ludhiana and Hardeep Singh son of Daljeet Singh , Italy were taken in the NIA custody from the Ludhiana Police on 22nd November, 2017.
The National Investigation Agency has taken over the investigation of the murder case of RSS worker Shri Ravinder Gosain in compliance with the MHA on 16th November, 2017. The NIA has re-registered the case on 17th November, 2017, under sections 10, 12, and 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, sections 302 & 34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 25 of the Arms Act, 1925, at PS Jodhewal, Ludhiana.
During their examination, these accused persons have admitted their involvement in the previous eight incidents of murder or attempted murder in Punjab which have happened since January, 2016. Targets in these incidents generally were members of the RSS and Hindu organizations. Besides, in July, 2017, they also murdered a Christian pastor named Sultan Masih in Ludhiana. It has also come to light that the above mentioned conspiracy to destabilize Punjab has been hatched by Sikh extremist elements and others located in various parts of the world including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. The investigation conducted so far has revealed channeling of funds from foreign countries for execution of these incidents.
